Complete Sarajevo war tour
The best possible way to fully understand siege of Sarajevo
Your guide is someone who experienced part of the war as a child. We will go through sniper alley and then drive through the old road used during the war on Mount Igman.
You will get first hand experience of driving on Mt. Igman while your guide explains how it was to pass through that road during the war.
While on Mt. Igman you will be able to see ski jumping hills, and the former most luxurious hotel in the mountains, visit the memorial to resistance movement from World War II and take a photo while standing on the Olympic Podium from 1984 Winter Olympic Games.
After we will go down to the tunnel where we will visit the Tunnel Museum and then the old Jewish cemetery (one of strong points of Serbian snipers during the war).
In case there are four or more persons on the tour, schedule permitting, we can also visit the bobsleigh track on Mt. Trebevic free of charge.
Tour is daily at 09:00h*.
Minimum is two persons per tour and maximum is seven as we like to keep tours small in order everyone is able to get the most out of it. Pre-booking is required.
Duration of tour is 5,5 hours approximately.
Price is 66 Marks (~34 Euros but will be paid in Marks) per person, included is transportation, guide, drinks, small lunch (one of the top ten street food in the world according to ”Lonely Planet” and ”The Guardian”, if you are vegan, gluten free, allergic to something, please let us know in advance) and free Wi-Fi during the tour.
Entrance fee for the Tunnel of Hope is not included in the tour, ticket is 5-10 Marks (~2,5-5 Euros, depending if student or an adult) but the entrance fee needs to be paid in Bosnian Marks.
Unfortunately the tour is not suitable for infants.
5% of income goes to a charity/project in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
